I normally visit Jasper several times during the winter to go skiing, but the summertime is when the rugged mountain beauty really shines. The mountains are more jagged, the townsite is more laid back, the views are breathtaking and the outdoor activities are endless. In fact, I think there are more iconic experiences and things to do in Jasper compared to the more popular national park to the south. Sometimes referred to as Banff’s unassuming little sister, but just as well endowed in natural beauty, Jasper is becoming the place to visit in the Canadian Rockies.
